This picture pretty much explains it. For as long as I can remember, I have loved horses. This should not be surprising considering I am proud to be a Kentucky girl. Some of my most vivid Christmas mornings involve some sort of horse paraphernalia (a stuffed horse, a plastic horse farm, a book about horses). This always produced a dilemma of emotions as what I was
really hoping for was a real, breathing, living horse. I cant recall which year I stopped asking for a horse... but it was likely that I was in my teens.
Fast forward to February 25, 2009. I am walking in the local flea market this afternoon.... and he catches my eye:

There was a flutter of my heart and a urgent need to make him mine. To articulate the depth of my love for this iron horse, you must know that I carried (rather, clutched tightly) to this probably 25 lb horse for an hour around this market. My back is aching (no, I'm not out of shape!) and my arms are tired, but my heart is happy. I am the proud owner of a horse. And I can't wait to find a home for him in our new place! I'm even thinking a prominent place like the living room coffee table. I love him that much.
Also wanted to share a couple other things... Just got in some 1800s botanical prints that I ordered of Ebay:

I am planning on framing them in a dark wood and hanging them above the couch in the living room.
Also, a fun print that I found at the Pottery Barn outlet (75% off!!)... I got the duvet cover and two Euro shams to use in the guest bedroom. I was really pleased. The best part was that I chose it before I saw that it was 75% off. Then I knew it must be destiny!

Happy Hump Day!
